Unable to view Distribution Group Members

Problem:

If you are getting an error message when trying to see the members of a distribution group and see the following error “unable to connect to retrieve additional data” you may just need to reconfigure your outlook account. (This specific issue occurred between Exchange 2013 and Outlook 365 x64 client)

Solution:

1. In outlook click on File -> Account Settings
2. Click on the email tab and select the email account and click on Change
3. Click on more settings
4. Click on the Security Tab and make sure that the Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange is checked as shown below; and then restart Outlook
